Abstract

The study aimed to assess the impact of physical structure components on performance and evaluate the effectiveness of a training program by examining how these components influence players' performance over a training season. By identifying key elements of physical structure, valuable data can be gathered and compared with scientific studies to assess training impact. The researcher developed a specialized training curriculum using available equipment (stairs) to enhance the physical structure of table tennis players and ultimately raise their performance level. An experimental method was applied to a sample of 14 female players from the Baghdad Table Tennis Club, dividing them into an experimental group trained using stair-based resistance exercises and a control group following traditional methods. The program lasted 12 weeks, from January 24 to April 14, 2010, with two 90-minute sessions per week. After conducting pre-tests, the training program was implemented, followed by post-tests, with data analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that stair resistance training had a positive effect on the physical structure components of the players. Therefore, the researcher recommends incorporating stair-based resistance training due to its effective role in enhancing the physical structure of table tennis players.
