Abstract

The introduction and importance of the research stem from the limited use of modern techniques such as deep breathing, color therapy, musical relaxation, and massage in sports psychology. The study aims to address this gap by exploring the effectiveness of a psychological calming program using the color pink in reducing state anxiety among Premier Club handball players. The objectives of the research included: (1) identifying state anxiety through the measurement of physiological variables such as average blood pressure and heart rate; (2) developing and implementing a mental calming program utilizing the color pink to reduce state anxiety among the players; and (3) understanding the impact of the applied program on players' psychological states and its reflection on state anxiety. The researchers employed the experimental method on a sample of 72 players, from which 20 were excluded due to prior experience, leaving 52 participants. These were divided equally into two groups: experimental and control, each consisting of 26 players. The results indicated that the psychological calming program using the color pink had a positive effect on physiological variables (blood pressure and heart rate) and played an active role in reducing pre-game anxiety. Based on these findings, the researchers recommend implementing mental calming programs incorporating the color pink by coaches and psychological specialists to help manage anxiety in athletes
