Abstract
This research contained the introduction to the research and its importance, in which it was addressed that university students suffer from problems, such as problems in understanding themselves and acting with their communities resulting from their exposure to scoring for life pressures. The performance in the game of handball needs strength, speed and docking as well as from falling. The objectives of the research were to identify the level of psychological stress and the performance of some basic skills in handball among some students of the Faculty of Physical Education/University of Baghdad , and to identify the relationship between them, as well as to identify the level of differences in psychological stress according to the gender variable (males/females)and in the performance of each skill in the research sample,while the hypothesis of the research was that there is a statistically significant correlation between psychological stress and the performance of some basic skills in handball . In addition, there is a statistically significant correlation between the level of psychological stress according to the gender variable and the level of performance of each skill between male and female students.The two researchers used the descriptive approach in the style of correlational relationships. From some of their findings, there is a significant correlation between psychological stress and the performance of some basic skills in handball in the research sample. One of the most important recommendations made by the two researchers is to familiarize students with the sources of psychological stress and train them on ways to confront them and increase teachers' interest in individual differences between them
