Abstract
The researchers, including Onah and others, emphasize the impact of sports training methods on the development of athletic performance to achieve the highest levels of sport. While the problem may seem simple to address if proper training methods and sports equipment are available, it becomes more complicated due to the disparities in the accuracy of skill execution, particularly the wavy jump serve in volleyball, which occurs during the course of a match. This motivated the researcher to investigate the effect of special weight training exercises on developing speed-strength and the accuracy of the wavy jump serve skill in volleyball. The experimental method was used to address the research problem and objectives, focusing on preparing special weight training to enhance the speed and accuracy of the wavy jump serve skill. The hypotheses of the study included investigating the differences between pre- and post-tests for the development of power characterized by speed in the research sample of volleyball players. The research findings concluded that the post-tests revealed a significant improvement in the speed-strength of the arm muscles compared to the pre-tests. Based on these findings, the researcher recommended giving special attention to developing the power and speed of the arm and leg muscles to achieve successful execution of the wavy jump serve
