Abstract
The research focused on developing strength endurance and long jump performance by designing a training program using variable resistance exercises for the female athletes of the Baghdad Women's Sports Club, who practice the long jump event. The study aimed to design a training program using these variable resistance exercises and to explore their impact on developing strength endurance and improving long jump performance. Additionally, the study sought to identify the differences in strength endurance and long jump performance between pre- and post-tests. The research hypothesis indicated a positive effect on developing strength endurance and improving long jump performance, with significant differences between the pre- and post-tests. The researcher employed an experimental method with a single-group design, conducting both pre- and post-tests on a sample of six athletes from the Baghdad Women’s Athletics Club. The training program was implemented from January 9 to March 24, 2011. The researcher redownloaded several theoretical studies on strength endurance and long jump performance. Data obtained from pre- and post-tests were analyzed using SPSS, applying statistical measures such as mean, standard deviation, skewness, t-values for paired samples, Pearson correlation coefficient, and percentage. After analyzing the data, the researcher concluded that the use of variable resistance exercises had a significant positive effect on developing strength endurance and improving long jump performance.
