Abstract

Volleyball is one of the team sports that requires a high level of training due to the rapid development the game has witnessed in recent years. This evolution has prompted coaches and trainers to seek new methods for enhancing players' physical, technical, functional, and mental abilities. The aim of this research is to identify the effect of compound exercises in volleyball on the development of certain mental performance operations. The main experiment was conducted on a sample of second-year students from the College of Physical Education. Both pre-tests and post-tests were administered, followed by the implementation of a training program designed to improve the students' mental performance. The researchers concluded that there were significant differences in favor of the experimental group in the post-tests. Based on these results, the researchers recommended conducting regular assessments for students and incorporating compound exercises to develop mental operations in volleyball.
