Abstract

The first chapter of the research included an introduction to handball, the research problem, and the objectives, one of which was to identify the level of psychological endurance among players of Al-Jaish and Al-Karkh handball clubs. The research hypothesis stated that there are statistically significant differences in psychological endurance between the players of these two clubs. The research sample consisted of 32 handball players from Al-Jaish and Al-Karkh clubs participating in the Iraqi Elite League for the 2011–2012 season. The second chapter addressed theoretical studies relevant to the topic, while the third chapter outlined the field procedures of the research. The fourth chapter presented the statistical analyses, and the fifth chapter covered the conclusions and recommendations. One of the key conclusions was that Al-Jaish players demonstrated varying levels of psychological endurance in the Iraqi Elite League for the 2011–2012 season. Among the recommendations was the need for coaches to place greater emphasis on the psychological aspects of training, addressing the challenges and pressures players face during training and competition to enhance their psychological endurance.
