Abstract

The research focused on the idea that basketball training should closely resemble real game situations, particularly with complex offensive skills, by emphasizing multiple skills in accordance with the requirements of the game itself. The study adopted a progressive approach to compound exercises, starting from easy to difficult, and varied the exercises to include two or more skills, considering both accuracy and speed in execution. The problem of the research was the limited use of compound exercises in training youth players and the lack of progression from easy to difficult. Four speed and accuracy tests were selected for some offensive skills, and the players from the National Center for Sports Talent Development were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, with 10 players in each group. After obtaining and analyzing the results statistically, the researcher concluded several findings, including: The proposed compound offensive skill exercises contributed to the improvement of the offensive skills performance in all tests for the experimental group of youth basketball players. The experimental group outperformed the control group in all the tests conducted in the research. Combining skills in offensive training increases a player's ability to control their movements during games.
