Abstract
The development of athletic performance and achieving high levels of success is a key goal for all athletes, and reaching such a level requires understanding and analyzing the motor performance carried out by the athlete during their activity. Special exercises are essential for enhancing motor abilities and achieving success in the women’s 100-meter hurdles. The importance of this research lies in using specific exercises aimed at improving certain motor abilities—agility, flexibility, and coordination—to enhance performance in the 100-meter hurdles. The problem addressed by the study is that many female students lack the necessary motor abilities to smoothly and efficiently clear the hurdles with proper coordination. The study was conducted on 16 second-year female students over a set period from December 4, 2014, to February 8, 2015. The researcher used an experimental method with both experimental and control groups. Based on a preliminary trial, the researcher designed specific exercises to develop motor abilities, which were implemented during the practical section of the educational unit—two sessions per week, each lasting 30 minutes, for a total of 60 minutes weekly over two months. Post-tests were conducted and results analyzed using the SPSS statistical program. The researcher concluded that the special exercises played a significant role in developing the students' motor abilities and had a positive impact on their performance. It is recommended to focus on designing motor ability exercises tailored to the specific sport activity, as they significantly improve performance, and to conduct similar studies targeting other events in track and field.
