Abstract

The idea of the research is summarized in establishing specific parameters through which the launch variables for free throws can be controlled. This is of great importance in determining the outcome of matches, as it can decide the winner and loser. The research was conducted using the descriptive method and involved selecting a sample of basketball players from the top four teams in the premier league, who represented the "Golden Square." The sample consisted of 48 players. The data collection was done using a high-speed camera set to 120 frames per second. Each player was given one attempt, and in case of failure, a second attempt was allowed until a successful try (the ball entering the basket) was made. The analysis focused only on the successful attempts of all players in the team. The launch variables extracted were: (launch height, launch angle, launch speed). After this, statistical analysis was carried out using the SPSS software to examine the correlation between the three variables. The results were discussed, and the reasons for the relationships were explained. Finally, the conclusions were reached, and the most important findings were that the parameters for the launch variables in the free throw for premier league basketball players are as follows: Launch height of the ball: 2.7 meters. Launch angle of the ball: 39 degrees. Launch speed of the ball: 6.8 meters/second
