Abstract
The research aims to explore the concept of academic freedom among faculty members, as well as their professional creativity, and to examine the relationship between academic freedom and professional creativity. The research hypotheses suggest that there is no statistically significant relationship between academic freedom and professional creativity among faculty members in the College of Physical Education / Al-Mustansiriya University. The sample of the study consisted of 56 members. The researcher utilized the terms academic freedom, professional creativity, and faculty member in the research. The researcher used two scales: the Academic Freedom Scale, developed by Dana Lotfi in 2008 for faculty members, which originally consisted of four sections with eight items in each section, totaling 32 items. The second scale was the Professional Creativity Scale, developed by Bassam Manawer Al-Anzi in 2003, based on a pilot study conducted on employees in public institutions in Riyadh, consisting of seven sections with three items in each section, for a total of 21 items.
