Abstract

The study aims to determine the values of some aspects of muscle strength and physiological variables related to the long jump performance of junior athletes at the National Center for Giftedness Sports. It also seeks to identify the type of relationship between muscle strength, physiological variables, and long jump performance. The researcher used the descriptive-correlational method, suitable for the nature of the problem, and conducted the study on 10 junior athletes from the National Center for Giftedness Sports. A series of physical and physiological tests were performed, followed by the long jump performance test. After collecting the data, statistical methods were used for analysis. The study found a significant relationship between speed-strength and long jump performance, explosive strength and long jump performance, and heart rate as well as systolic and diastolic blood pressure with the long jump performance in the sample.
