Abstract

The researcher conducted a study on the relationship between the rate of children's television program downloadership and psychological tranquility among students. The study was carried out on a sample of 6th grade male primary school students, with a total of 35 students forming the main research sample, in addition to 15 students participating in the pilot study and in establishing the scientific foundations of the psychological tranquility scale. The researcher measured the study variables using a psychological tranquility scale and a questionnaire designed to assess the rate of children's television program downloadership. After administering the prepared tools to the students, the results showed an inverse relationship between psychological tranquility and the rate of television program downloadership—that is, the higher the downloadership rate, the lower the level of psychological tranquility among students. The study also revealed differences in levels of psychological tranquility based on whether the students' television downloadership rates were high or low.
