Abstract
The research problem lies in the fact that most team training programs lack sufficient attention to the psychological aspect in general, and to psychic energy in particular. Additionally, some teams show a low level of performance in the serving skill, which has led to missed opportunities to win matches and lower rankings compared to other teams. Therefore, the researchers conducted a study aimed at identifying the level of psychological energy and serving skill performance among the top three teams in the Central Technical University Women’s Volleyball Championship, as well as examining the relationship between psychological energy, serving skill performance, and team rankings. The researchers employed a descriptive method using relational analysis on a sample of 36 players representing the top three ranked teams. They utilized a psychological energy scale and analyzed serving skill performance during actual matches. Based on the results and the use of appropriate statistical tools, several conclusions were drawn. The most notable was that the team from the Institute of Applied Arts/Al-Zaafaraniya demonstrated a good level of psychological energy, while teams from the Institute of Management/Al-Rusafa and the Technical Institute of Management/Al-Zaafaraniya exhibited lower levels. Furthermore, there was a significant correlation between psychological energy and both serving skill performance and team ranking.
