Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between anthropometric measurements and the performance of specific types of strength involving the arms and legs in handball players. It explores how physical body characteristics influence the contribution of these limbs to performance, particularly in relation to special strength. The study highlights the importance of identifying and training athletes with optimal physical profiles to help them reach higher performance levels. A sample of 12 players, representing 18.8% of the total population, was intentionally selected from the National Center for the Care of Sports Talent – Diyala branch. These players were part of a larger group of 66 athletes from the national centers in Baghdad, Diyala, and Karbala. The descriptive correlational method was employed to gather and analyze factual data, as it aligns with the research objectives and allows for a detailed understanding of the relationships between body measurements and physical performance.
