Abstract
Most individuals, due to the nature of their continuous daily work, may be exposed to physical exertion and loads that place various effects on the body's systems. This can lead to weakness and pain in some areas. Incorrect habits at work and during sleep, along with prolonged sitting in front of a computer by many people, have all contributed to the development of pain and injuries in the cervical (neck) region. The aim was to design static stretching exercises to improve the strength of the muscles supporting the cervical vertebrae and to understand the impact of these exercises. The program was applied to a sample of individuals suffering from cervical spondylosis. The duration of the program was six weeks, with three sessions per week. The researcher concluded that the exercises had a positive effect on all tests except the relaxation test. The researcher recommends that these exercises be adopted alongside other rehabilitation methods.
