Abstract
Agility and kinetic balance are important kinetic variables for handball players because of their association with many physical and skill components and characteristics, and because of their contribution to many sports activities in general in handball, especially defensive movements. Thus, the importance of research lies in trying to develop the elements of agility and kinetic balance because of its importance for handball players. It helps in changing their movements easily during the game as well as developing kinetic balance that helps the player to control his body in a steady state or during his movement. As for the research problem, it is determined in the basic requirements of the handball player in terms of physical, skill and mobility to be able to raise the efficiency of the defending player because the defensive movements are the basis. One of the objectives of the research is to identify the impact of special exercises on the strength characterized by speed and defensive movements of the handball. There are statistically significant differences between the results of the pre and post tests in the development of agility and motor balance and their impact on the strength characterized by speed and defensive movements in the research sample. The researchers used the experimental approach with pre and post tests and the design of one group. The research sample was selected by lot and they are The players of the Baghdad Education/Karkh First /Preparatory Team for ages(15-17) years , numbering (16) players to whom the trainings were applied, the main experiment was carried out on the research sample, on Tuesday, 7/3/2017 until 25/4/2017 at 4 pm, by (2) training units for a period of (8) weeks and a total of (16) training units, where the trainings of the main section of the training unit are given. The two researchers concluded that there are significant differences between the pre and post tests in favor of the post test in agility, motor balance and strength distinguished by speed. The two researchers reached recommendations, including conducting periodic tests of the defensive skills of the players by the trainers for the purpose of detecting their weaknesses.
