Abstract
The problem of the research was summarized in the lack of attention to the psychological aspect in the Special Olympics, and the effort and attention is focused towards specialized sports to reach achievement, which prompted the researcher to develop a recreational program aimed at developing adaptive behavior skills and adaptive behavior in general for individuals with mental disabilities in the Iraqi Special Olympics, and the study aimed To develop a recreational program with small games for people with mental disabilities in the Iraqi Special Olympics, and then know the impact of this recreational program on the social interaction of the research sample members.
