Abstract
Psychological factors are among the key elements influencing athletic performance for most athletes. Consequently, psychologists have explored numerous topics related to sports activities, conducting various experiments and research to find solutions to related challenges. In gymnastics, attention is closely tied to different skills, especially on the balance beam, due to its unique features such as its elevation above the ground and narrow surface, which demand a high level of focus and concentration from the athlete during performance. The front roll is a fundamental skill performed on the balance beam, with its success depending on several critical factors, primarily the accuracy and precision of the technical execution, as well as the athlete’s preparatory state before performing. This preparation involves mobilizing all physical and mental resources to execute the movement correctly. During this phase, the athlete concentrates intensely on the required actions to ensure proper body alignment and movement direction, aiming to prevent falls or technical errors. Therefore, this research is important in examining the relationship between attention concentration and the performance quality of the front roll on the balance beam.
