Abstract
Badminton is considered one of the most effective sports for developing physical fitness, as it requires competition, extensive running, jumping, quick reactions, and coordinated eye-hand movements. The game demands heightened awareness and precise timing, especially during jumps or support movements, where players must accurately judge the ball's trajectory when sending or receiving from an opponent. Given these demands, it is essential to implement advanced technical exercises to raise the performance of national team players. Based on this need, the two researchers focused on enhancing sensory perception and movement recognition, which are critical for players to maintain proper positioning during gameplay. The research problem addressed the importance of scientifically structured associated exercises—those that integrate various movements into a cohesive unit to improve fitness, timing, and coordination. A common issue in badminton is the inability to recognize proper timing and movement, which negatively affects performance. The researchers used an experimental method involving the national badminton team, initially consisting of 10 players, later reduced to 8, divided into two equal groups. Tests included recognizing side foot distance and arm distance. A training program of 26 units over 13 weeks was implemented, with each session lasting 120 minutes, including 20 minutes dedicated to associated exercises. The results, analyzed using SPSS, showed that associated exercises had a significant positive effect on developing performance levels within the national team, particularly in sensory and movement-related capacities. The researchers concluded that such exercises are beneficial and recommended their use for national badminton teams to improve physical and perceptual capabilities.
