Abstract
The current research aimed to achieve two main objectives: identifying certain anthropometric measurements of young squash players and examining the relationship between these measurements, muscular strength, and the accuracy of forehand shots. The researcher used the descriptive method due to its suitability for the nature of the study. The sample consisted of 20 young squash players, with homogeneity ensured among them. The research included skill tests for the forehand shot, muscular strength tests, and measurements of players' lengths and circumferences. To ensure the validity and reliability of the tests, the researcher applied statistical analyses by calculating means, standard deviations, and correlation coefficients. These analyses confirmed significant differences in favor of the more skilled players. The correlation was tested using a two-time application on the skilled group, five days apart, yielding highly reliable coefficients. The results showed statistically significant differences between certain body measurements and muscular strength, particularly in forearm length, thigh length, and leg length. Additionally, significant differences were found between anthropometric measurements and muscular strength during both dynamic and static shooting for variables such as forearm length, upper arm circumference, and forearm circumference. The researcher concluded that it is essential to design training programs aimed at developing muscular strength in squash players, use appropriate anthropometric measurements when selecting athletes based on the demands of the sport, and conduct similar studies linking physical attributes to technical skills to achieve better results. Furthermore, the researcher recommended developing training programs that enhance shooting accuracy, which significantly contributes to improved performance.
