Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effect of a practical training program on improving the backhand component of the tennis serve skill. A total of 30 fourth-year sports college students were randomly divided into two equal groups: an experimental group (15 students) and a control group (15 students). The experimental group underwent a practical training program lasting 8 weeks, with two 90-minute sessions per week, totaling 16 sessions. The program focused on enhancing flexibility and performance in the backhand movement during the tennis serve. The results showed that the experimental group significantly improved in backhand flexibility compared to the control group, which led to a more effective tennis serve. Therefore, the study concludes that a structured, practical training program positively impacts backhand flexibility and overall serve performance in tennis.
