Abstract
It is essential to explore new techniques and methods capable of enabling a larger number of learners to acquire better knowledge using the same available resources. From this perspective, the importance of the current research emerges by presenting the cooperative learning method in teaching some basic handball skills. The study aimed to investigate the impact of using the cooperative learning method on acquiring the dribbling skill in handball and to identify the differences in pre- and post-tests between the experimental and control groups regarding the research variables. The conclusions indicated that the instructional program had a positive effect on learning the dribbling skill, that cooperative learning helped save time and effort during the learning process, and that the flexibility of applying the program and correcting errors by learners contributed significantly to skill acquisition. The main recommendations were to generalize the research results to the educational process and emphasize the use of the cooperative learning method in teaching basic handball skills.
