Abstract
Achieving high levels in the field of sports requires the integration of all administrative and scientific efforts within a country, as sports have become a multidisciplinary science that relies on various fields such as medicine, engineering, technology, psychology, physiology, biochemistry, and more. Sports psychology, in particular, plays a fundamental role in the training process, as without it, it becomes difficult for an athlete to reach peak performance and fully utilize their potential and talents. Athletic achievement is the core of the training process and reflects an athlete’s inner abilities, expressed through physical excellence and strong mental and emotional resilience. Psychological readiness has become a key pillar of sports training, especially in sports like swimming, where it is regarded as important as physical and technical skills. When the skill levels of competing athletes are close, the psychological state can become the decisive factor in winning. The goal of psychological preparation is to instill a strong desire for success and victory over opponents through high self-confidence. This success is only possible through the development of willpower, motivation, determination, confidence, self-control, and high morale—factors that are shaped and guided by a skilled coach who possesses educational and psychological competence and is capable of managing all variables and challenges both on and off the field.
