Comparison of Mental Toughness and Social Interaction Among Female Players of the Physical Education and Sports Science Colleges Basketball Teams in the Middle Euphrates Universities.

Research Objectives: The research aims to:
- Identify the mental toughness and social interaction of the female players of the Physical Education and Sports Science Colleges basketball teams in the Middle Euphrates universities.
- Compare mental toughness and social interaction among the female players of the Physical Education and Sports Science Colleges basketball teams in the Middle Euphrates universities.
The researchers used a descriptive approach with survey and comparative methods. The research community was defined as the female players of the Physical Education and Sports Science Colleges basketball teams in the Middle Euphrates universities for the academic year 2018-2019, totaling 48 students. From this community, a sample of 32 students was randomly selected, with 8 students from each college, and 5 students for the pilot study. The researchers then selected and applied the mental toughness and social interaction scales to the sample. Statistical treatments were used to analyze the results. The findings were presented, analyzed, and discussed. The researchers concluded the following:
- The female players of the Physical Education and Sports Science Colleges possess varying levels of mental toughness and social interaction.
- There are significant differences in mental toughness and social interaction among the players, favoring the College of Kufa.
Based on these findings, the researchers recommend the following:
- Utilize the mental toughness and social interaction scales that the researchers employed to assess these qualities.
- Use other psychological variables to better understand the mental states of the players to help provide appropriate guidance and direction.
