smash shotAbstract
The study aimed to identify the relationship between psychological compatibility, skillful self-performance, and the accuracy of the smash shot in badminton. The research hypothesis posited a statistically significant correlation between psychological compatibility, skillful self-performance, and the accuracy of the smash shot in badminton.
The researcher employed the descriptive method using the "correlational relationships" approach, as it suited the study. The population consisted of third-year students for the academic year 2017–2018 at Al-Muthanna University, College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. A sample of 50 students was selected from this population, excluding players from the college and club teams, practicing players, and players representing the college in other sports.
The findings revealed that the students in the sample exhibited an above-average level of psychological compatibility and skillful self-performance.
