The effect of a psychological counseling program using motivation techniques to improve the level of some defensive skills in volleyball.

Abstract

 

The study aimed

  • Preparing motivational sessions to upgrade the level of some of the defense skills of the players of the sports talent centers/ Diyala
  • To identify the impact of these sessions in upgrading some of the defensive skills of the players of the sports talent centers/Diyala

The researcher used the experimental method for the appropriateness of the research problem, as the researcher selected the sample of the search of the center for the care of talent/Diyala age (14-16) years and reached the number of (16) players and was divided in to tow experimental groups and an officer (7) players for each group and was taken (2) player to be conducting the exploratory experiment, thus reaching the percentage of the main sample of research (78.5%)

The conclusions were:

  • The psychological motivational sessions that have been prepared have positively influenced the upgrading of the defensive skills of the volleyball and sport talent care center (Diyala).
  • Players have been affected and their perception of the surrounding circumstances has changed because motivation raises a lot of negative ideas and converts them or creates new positive ideas
  • The psychological motivational session are a special concept for the players by understanding their general significance and have taken a great part in their daily training.

The recommendations were:

  • Emphasizing the need to introduce psychological motivational sessions from the motivational exercises to the players because of the positive results of the athlete
  • The researcher recommends the introduction of special motivational sessions by specialists to develop the psychological aspect of players of the centers of talent sports, clubs and teams.
  • To introduce the psychological aspect in all training units that contain skills or physical objectives as they complement the work of these units
  • The researcher recommends similar research and different samples.
