““The Extent of Practicing the Management of Distinction by Deans of the Faculties at the University of Al-Qadisiyah from their Assistants’ Point of Views
Abstract
The world has recently witnessed a tremendous and tangible technological progress and rapid changes that make it incumbent upon all to join the procession of this development, as it has many positives in numerous aspects. We shuld avoid following classical and outmoded methods and styles. Rather, we should follow what is updated and speedy It is greatly greatly necessary to instill a culture of excellence in our educational institutes and among officials to cultivate their desire of providing good service, honesty in work and carrying out responsibilities in the fullest manner.
The importance of this paper is reflected in building up the Deans’ Excellence of Management Scale from their assistants’ point of view. As for the problem of this research, it lies in the fact that the two researchers conducting this research are themselves university instructors and that through meeting some of the officials and employees shows that the culture of excellence, despite its being present there, it does not aspire to what is actually desired to be achieved by means of paying attention to the creativity, energies of these people and rewarding them .
The descriptive method in the style of survey is used. The sample consists of (36) assistants of dean as a sample of building up and application. As for the scale, it consists of (4) axes, with (22) items.
There are several findings which the researchers come up with. First, there is a great response of the deans in the manner of dealing with their college employees, and consequently, great attention is paid to creative people and rewarding them. The researchers also highly recommend that attention be paid to the culture of excellence, strengthening it in the hearts of the deans, together with the deans’ adoption of modern and scientific ways all over all respects of management.
