يُعد التميز نظاماً متكاملاً يعتمد على التقنيات والمناهج الإدارية الحديثة، بهدف رفع مستويات الأداء والإنجاز إلى أعلى المستويات، لتتفوق بها المنظمة على المنظمات الأخرى، وترقى إلى المستوى العالمي. وهدف البحث الحالي إلى بناء مقياس خاص بالتميز المؤسسي للأندية الرياضية العراقية، حيث استخدم الباحث في الباب الثالث مجموعة من الخطوات العلمية، إذ استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي على عينة من اللاعبين المشاركين في الدوري العراقي الممتاز بكرة السلة، وتم الإستعانة بالوسط الحسابي والإنحراف المعياري ومعامل الإرتباط البسيط وقيمة T-Test كوسائل إحصائية مناسبة. وتوصل الباحثان إلى مقياس خاص يقيس التميز المؤسسي في الأندية الرياضية العراقية
