Bio – kinematical Analysis Of Some Backhand Performance Variables and Their Relationship With Performance Level in Tennis

The research aimed at identifying the effect of some kinematical variables on performing backhand in tennis as well as identifying the relation between these kinematical variables and backhand skill performance. The researcher hypothesized statistical relationship between some kinematical variables of backhand performance. In addition to that, he hypothesized statistical relationship between some kinematical variables of backhand and level of performance. The researcher used the descriptive method on (4) Iraqi national league players for the season 2020 – 2021. The variables of the study were of backhand and the important kinematical variables in tennis. The data was collected and treated using SPSS to conclude that bio - kinematical variables are good indicators of good backhand performance in tennis and that body angles during preparation position are vital in achieving the highest angular speed. Finally the researchers recommended the necessity of using modern devices for analyzing bio - kinematical variables so as to reach the most accurate measurements and values of these variables.
