Designing two models to assess the most important physical and mental abilities of handball players in Iraq

Introduction and importance of research: Handball is a group of games which are characterized by a large number of goals and points and competition continues and characterized by the rapid pace and continuous maneuvers that require observation and the scope of view based on the speed of performance that is closely related to physical and mental requirements, so the process of building a model to assess the requirements Physical and mental, is evidence of the scientific progress in the field of handball, hence the importance of research in the design of two models to assess the most important physical and mental requirements differ from previous performance requirements where the evaluation of the Player by each thread with the requirement under study requirements.
The main objectives of the research:
- Studying the relationship between the most important physical and mental requirements of handball players
- Design two models to assess the most important physical and mental requirements of handball players
The researchers used the descriptive approach in the method of surveying and associative studies, while the sample of the research was chosen by the deliberate method, they are players of Iraqi clubs for the first class handball category youth for the sports season (2018), where the number of clubs (19) 195 (players) Iraqi central handball, and was used four physical tests and three mental tests.
The most important conclusions:
- The emergence of a significant correlation between the physical and mental requirements under study
- The scores on the physical and mental requirements of the individuals of the research sample were identical to the five ideal levels developed by the researchers.
The most important recommendations:
- Emphasize the need to work on developing the physical and mental requirements of handball players when developing training curricula.
- The use of the models for the purpose of specialized evaluation according to physical and mental requirements in the statement of strengths and weaknesses in the performance of handball players
