Abstract

The study aimed to:

  • Identify the relationship between certain physical measurements and the level of performance in the accuracy of jump shooting in handball.
Research Hypothesis:

The researchers hypothesized the existence of a statistically significant relationship between certain physical measurements and the level of performance in the accuracy of jump shooting.

Methodology:

The researchers employed the descriptive approach as it suited the nature of the study. The research was conducted on a sample of 30 second-year students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala. The sample was randomly selected. The researchers calculated Pearson’s simple correlation coefficient between certain physical measurements and the level of performance in the accuracy of jump shooting.

Key Findings:

The researchers concluded that there is a significant correlation between certain physical measurements and the level of performance in the accuracy of jump shooting in handball, within the limits indicated by the research results.

Recommendations:
  • Enhance the physical and skill capabilities as well as certain physical measurements related to the physical profile of handball players.
