Abstract

The psychological factor is one of the most important elements that contribute to achieving success and victories in most sports, including attention. Attention occurs when an individual focuses on something specific, and it is associated with the senses of hearing and sight, which are crucial in all sports activities.

Basketball is one of the sports that requires a high level of attention due to the rapid changes in the rhythm of matches, with the ultimate goal being scoring. Therefore, it is essential for every player to maintain all aspects of attention during the game. The research problem arose from the lack of training and insufficient emphasis on mental processes, despite their critical necessity and importance.

The objective of the study was to explore the relationship between some aspects of attention and the skill of accurate shooting from jumping in basketball. The results showed that psychological factors play a significant role in improving shooting performance in basketball. The researchers concluded with important recommendations
