Abstract

The study aims to know the role of the school principal in activating school sports activity from the point of view of the teachers of physical education in the schools of Anbar province.The study attempted to answer the following questions:- What is the role of the school principal in activating school sports activity from the point of view of the teachers of physical education in Anbar province2- Does the role of the school principal differ from the point of view of the physical education teachers according to the different qualifications of the academic (Bachelor of Sports Education, Diploma of Community College) and experience (1-5 years, 6 years and above)? The society of the study is a teacher of physical education in the schools of Al-Anbar governorate. They represent the directorates and sections of education (Ramadi-Heit-Haditha-Fallujah, which is based on him -Rawat-Khalidiya), which are (217) teachers according to the actual statistics of sports education supervisors.

 The study sample consisted of (179) teachers constituting 83% of the total population of the study.For this purpose, the researchers prepared a questionnaire consisting of (60) words divided into five fields.

 The study reached the following results:- The results of the mathematical averages of teachers' responses showed an effective role for the school principal in activating the sports activity in all fields of study.

2 - The areas of the role of the school principal in activating sports activity from the point of view of physical education teachers ranked in descending order as follows:

3 - There are differences in views on activating the role of the director of the school activity and for the benefit of the bachelor campaign and those with more than 6 years experience.  The study concluded that a number of recommendations are necessary to be made by the school principal:

1 - interest in the study and absorption of the objectives of physical education for each stage of education in a conscious and careful and considered important things that take care in the school curriculum.

2 - the need to provide a suitable atmosphere for the teacher of physical education to work efficiently and provide material and moral incentives for him and his involvement in the making of any decision on sports activities.
