Interval training is a multifaceted process that plays an important role in modern societies and in an individual's life, in general, according to their needs as both an individual and a member of society. Training aims to bring about changes in an individual's behavior patterns by guiding them toward the best methods based on a correct understanding of their personality and the factors influencing their behavior. It helps individuals adapt to the surrounding conditions and achieve a balance with the ever-changing environment around them.
High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a new fitness approach that involves performing a series of exercises in the shortest time possible, but with increased intensity. It is a strategy that involves short, varying intervals of intense exercises, which increases the body’s need for oxygen beyond the usual amount, followed by very short recovery periods.
Since the researchers are in the field of training and teaching handball, and given their desire to use modern teaching methods to achieve more effective results within appropriate timeframes, whether in physical or skill-related aspects, and recognizing that traditional teaching methods are still widely used, the researchers decided to investigate the use of high-intensity interval training and its impact on certain physical abilities and the accuracy of skill performance in shooting and deception in handball
